Working a Photo Booth on Location

In the event of your engagement as a third-party consultant, understanding the client's circumstances and context may be blurred.

I like arriving early to the venue. I’ll go in, look around, and find out where I will be setting up. Grab the rest of the equipment and setup.

Taking a test shot and showing the client to get their approval is a must, if available.

If the client disapproves, I’ll ask what they have in mind. Make sure to listen to the details. They may get frustrated by having to go over the details again.

I’ll do my best to communicate that the instructions I received may not match. I want to understand their needs, and that their adjustments are my number-one priority.

With a photo booth scenario, you may have to remake graphics, adjust cutting options, program a camera from software, fix hardware, and do it before it is time to start shooting.

The clock is ticking, stay calm and get to work. Once I have made the adjustments, I’ll take another test shot and show the client again to get their approval. I want to only go to the client if necessary, they don’t want to hang out with me on their big day.
